one good dog can pull a sled with a small and very helpful human... My kids do that all the time. actually 2 kids with one dog and a sled. Try here. so far its the best place I've found. We got the Canadian kick sled (it could be UPS'ed and didn't cost a fortune to begin with.http://www.blackicedogsledding.com/
Shilon is always very helpful helping me get what i need.

Sled Dog Central has a great list of suppliers, clubs, mentors and all things mushing.
I would start there if you don;t have a local mushing supply storehttp://www.sleddogcentral.com/merchandis…
Also seems you have a local clubhttp://www.sleddogcentral.com/clubs_usa.…
and they should be able to help.
Please seek expert advice for finding and fitting a harness, and never, never use the pet style harnesses designed for walking dogs. They are not correctly set up for a dog to safely pull weight. Good harness fit ensures your dog can pull comfortably and without getting rubs.
