I am training my dog to be a sled dog, and she is doing really well. Do you know where I can find a dog sled and a harness? I live in St. Louis Mo

Sled Dog Central has a great list of suppliers, clubs, mentors and all things mushing.

and they should be able to help.
Please seek expert advice for finding and fitting a harness, and never, never use the pet style harnesses designed for walking dogs. They are not correctly set up for a dog to safely pull weight. Good harness fit ensures your dog can pull comfortably and without getting rubs.

pretty sure dog sleds are pulled by more than one dog…

one good dog can pull a sled with a small and very helpful human… My kids do that all the time. actually 2 kids with one dog and a sled. Try here. so far its the best place I’ve found. We got the Canadian kick sled (it could be UPS’ed and didn’t cost a fortune to begin with.http://www.blackicedogsledding.com/
