You don’t say what state you’re in.
A lot of dog shows in the upper Midwest have dog sled pulling contests and are doing skijooring now (dogs pull you while you’re on cross country skiies). Look for lists online with sled dogging – in Yahoo groups especially. Look also over on the Meet Up lists (google “Meet Up” and your state) online, there may be dog sledding groups there.
