Product Description
DeeDee Jonrowe loves dogs, and her consuming passion is the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Winter and summer, virtually day and night (even in her dreams!), she and her huskies prepare for the annual race across Alaska. IDITAROD DREAMS is an absorbing, personal account of a year in the life of this remarkable woman living on the edge of the wilderness with her husband, Mike, and enough howling huskies to populate a small town. It is about the special bond between a woman and her dogs and about the astonishing measure of skill and stamina required to compete in the Iditarod.

The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race has been called the last great race. Join musher Karen Ramstead and her North Wapiti team of pure bred Siberian Huskies as they train for and enter the 2005 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. Three time emmy winner (camera operation) Donna Quante, has taken her love of the Siberian Husky, a keen interest in the Iditarod and her TV knowledge to make a movie the whole family can enjoy.(Some dog oriented language may not be appropriate for all children.) Original music by Kyf Brewer completes the experience. The title song explains the race, while “The Husky’s Code” is told from the dogs point of view. It may bring a tear to your eye.

What Is The Name Of The Book That Involved A Young Kid And A Single Sled Dog That Dies At The End?
Dogs racing 4 Comments »I remember reading this book in school and seeing the movie in school too. All I remember about it is a kid and a dog in a snow sled race and the dog dies just before the end of the race because her heart gave out or something
Visit DogBreedStore.com where we have thousands of products for hundreds of breeds.I’m thinking of racing in it next year and I was wondering how to best put together a team. Any suggestions? Do I have to use dogs? Can I have my friend Johnny Tsunami pull the sled, along with the dogs? He’s pretty strong.
I only have one very sturdy dog, not one of the racing sort of dogs and I’d like to run her and I know in the junior competitions just one dog can pull a sled so I was wondering what size would be good.
