The Tustumena 200 Sled Dog Race Association is holding its annual poster contest.
The race is looking for submission of artwork from students in grades first through sixth grades.
Todd Stone, president of the T-200 race association, says entries are limited to one per child. Computer-designed images are not allowed, but copies or tracings of other pictures are allowed.
Stone says entries should be on a plain piece of 8.5-by-11-inch white paper and colored using crayons, markers or colored pencils.
He says the compositions should also capture the essence of friendly competition, humane care of sled dogs, or musher-dog team involvement.
The deadline to submit entries is December 29th. Entries can be mailed to Tustumena 200, P.O. Box 220, Kasilof, AK 99610.
