Gizmo, a 9-year-old Belgian malamute handled by Senior Airman Steve Temple at Vandenberg was given the accolades when he did well against more than two dozen competitors from various law enforcement agencies during the recent Gold Coast K-9 Dog Competition in Oxnard. Gizmo placed first in protection and third in explosives detection.
